Fees and Insurance

Insurance and Out-of-Network Insurance

Insurance is accepted based on if the providing clinician is paneled for that particular insurance. Insurances we commonly work with are UnitedHealth Care/Optum, UHC Student Resources, Aetna, Cigna, Sana Benefits, MedBen, and Custom Design Benefits.

If we are not in network with your insurance, you are still welcome to work with us using our private-pay rates. You can pay for sessions using a credit or debit card or an eligible HSA/FSA card.

We’re also happy to provide a superbill for out-of-network services, which you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement or application toward your deductible. Because out-of-network benefits vary by plan, we recommend checking with your insurance provider to learn more about what your plan may cover.

Please note: Insurance participation does not guarantee that your specific plan is covered. Some plans have a significant amount of subplans and we cannot guarantee we will be in network with each subplan. We’ll help you verify the details before your first appointment.

There is a 24 hour cancellation policy. No show/late cancel will be charged a full session fee, unless there is an emergency or otherwise discussed with your therapist. This is not covered by insurance.

Good Faith Estimate

All clients have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost starting January 1, 2022. A Good Faith Estimate enumerates the expenses you can reasonably expect to pay for your mental health care services provided by Blue Gardens Counseling.

Please ask your therapist about accessing your Good Faith Estimate.
